Panasonic Dect 6.0 Titanium Black Cordless Phone with Answering Machine

This is an amended review. I’d give it four stars if I could change my original rating, which was based on slow delivery.
The product itself is fine. Only negative: the “base unit” has a wall hanging option, but it juts out awkwardly; it’s really meant to sit on a horizontal surface.
The phones are capable of great complexity. Programming them could give you months of nerdy enjoyment. But thankfully, it also just works out of the box without going into a lot of hassle. The address book feature looks very useful and easy to implement, borrowing from the cell phone concept of “receive a call–add the phone number to the list.”
Super Saver shipping on this product was below par. I bought this on June 11, and it arrived June 25 (even though Amazon said the product was in stock). Tracking was pathetic: “It exists. It’ll get there… sometime.”
So if you need this soon, better pay for shipping.

Ringer volume is incredibly LOUD on each phone; it cannot be turned down! And, the ringer has an irritating quality to it (it sounds like a child’s toy). We had to return it without exploring its features any further.

We have found the Panasonic Dect 6.0 Titanium Cordless phone with Answering Machine to be a great product…we had another product which proved to be ineffective for our purpose..This one found on Amazon.Com really fit our needs/budget also is a Great looking Unit. We ESPECIALLY like the ability to operate/program the answering portion with either of the five hand held remote phones PLUS the benefit of having a neat Intercom system. I might add with our old tired eyes, each hand held has a bright display of all functions of the unit another PLUS, clear concise voice announcements really fit the bill…Thanks, Wz-Pz…

I had to replace another multi-handset unit with 4 handsets and needed 5. This one has so far worked out great with no problems whatsoever!

We had this motley phone collection of various old V-techs and other assorted brands, and the V-techs would not hold a charge anymore, so I thought maybe I’d just dump all of them and get a new phone or two….and then I saw this set and really liked the reviews plus Amazon had a really great price that day. So I upped for this set and boy, what a difference! The sound is really good, there is just a very slight hiss at times but it’s almost imperceptible. Easy to set up, really liked the address book that all phones can access, plus intercom to all phones, a really nice feature in this house plus basement. I get just as good reception in the basement phone as other ones too. Now we got a phone in den, all 3 bedrooms, and my office. I like the smaller handset, fits nicely in my pocket if I step outdoors, and the big display is great for us vision-impaired oldies. Hubby and I both absolutely LOVE the audible caller ID, we don’t have to get up anymore to see who is calling. OH, and the call block feature is nifty too. These don’t interfere with our wireless router either. And you gotta love the NIMH batteries that you can easily replace, rather than the expensive phone batteries. So far I have not been able to talk long enough to get the battery to go down at all, and that included a 1.5 hour telephone conference call. I like the headset jack, I use a headset frequently in my office. Plus you can change the ring-tone and do individualized ring tones too. The features just go on and on.
We’re pleased as punch with this set, and I don’t know why I waited so long to upgrade. Panasonic really did this one right!
