Uniden DECT 6.0 Silver Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and Four Handsets

This DECT set has a buzzing sound when people speak – as if the speaker is torn – which though not intolerable IS extremely annoying to both parties. The voice clarity/quality is far superior with my Uniden 2.5ghz that’s ages old so i’ll just live with computer interuptions when the phone rings.
You may think this was just a faulty unit but it is the third set i have tried and every phone in each set does exactly the same thing even when the base is moved to differing outlets.

The clarity of the transmission is superb, better than my old 5.8ghz. The reviewer that had noise with 3 different sets must have had some sort of interference on the 1.9ghz range which is very rare. NASA has certified 1.9ghz as the best frequency for communication.

I had been using a 5.8 mhz system with limited success. Sound and distance quality seemed to be suffering. I decided to switch to the 1.9 mhz offering and am glad I did. My phone system is now working as I have expected. I added two of the water proof handsets for outside use around the pool and garden.
All is working well and recomend this unit over much more expensive systems.

I first purchased this phone for my mother, the volume on it was so loud and clarity so crisp. I went home and replaced my phone with the exact same one. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone but especially to someone who has hearing problems.
