…But the name of this product (”Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID”) led me to believe that there was a digital answering machine in the base. There is NOT. “Digital Answering System” is just their fancy-pants way of saying “phone.”
Other than that, the phones seem to work fine. I was too lazy to return them when I found out there was no answering machine.

I returned this product. Felt the description was someone misleading. “Cordless Digital Answering System” does not mean it come with answering machine. It just means it has the ability to subscribe to a service.

I use the phone for my VOIP connection and the quality is much better than the 5,.8 GHz phone that I replaced. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend this phone.

I was looking for quality phone set with the latest technoloty and that would be dependable and compatible with my Ooma VOIP system. I didn’t need another answering machine. Many other phones include an answering machine whether I need one or not. Uniden offers consumers a choice. I have had many cordless systems over the years from several brands. This Uniden set is the best quality and best value I have every purchased. I highly recommend it.
