Uniden EXAI8580 5.8 GHz Digital Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System

I bought this phone because I had a Uniden phone that worked well but wanted one with an answering machine. On speaker phone, which is the way I prefer to (try to) use it, it cuts out terribly where I cannot carry on a conversation without having the other party repeat things. Off speaker phone, the other party says that I cut out. This is 15 feet from the base. I would return it but it is now in many small pieces due to my intolerance for things that do not function correctly.

Installed this phone yesterday and so far I am vary happy with it. The sound is great and the ring is actually pleasant. It was easy to program and seems to be user friendly. Looks nice too.

The only problem with this phone is that there is no mute button and when I put the speaker on and hold the phone with its back facing the top, the voice breaks. Apart from this the phone seems to be OK for the price

I have had no problems with it after several months. One thing I would have liked is a mute button. Other than that no complaints – it does it’s job as a phone and answering machine.
